Governed tokens mean a color, a space, or a type ramp is defined once and referenced everywhere by role. Nothing is hand-picked at the point of use, so a rebrand is a change to the token set, not a hunt through stylesheets.

The payoff is portability. A block bound to token names can move between brands by revaluing the tokens, never by editing the block.
